STORY LINE
The Numbers team hunts for a gang of criminals who targeted an unlikely scene of the crime: a televised entertainment awards show...

[ELIZABETH H.] 30 years old.. a stunning black woman with a British accent, first seen wearing a beautiful evening gown, she's an insurance investigator with Lloyd's of London, with a sarcastic manner. A woman who does not suffer fools gladly, she attends the Sixth Annual Cinema And Television Viewers' Select Awards, because her firm has insured about $10 million worth of priceless gems on display, and she's snarkily unhappy when the rocks are stolen right under her nose, with the aid of a smoke bomb and a host of accomplices. A sharp-witted woman, she works closely with David, and notes his evident disdain for the rich airheads who got robbed. [HANS S.] 45-55 years old, with Beverly Hills clothing and a perma-tan, Hans is an upscale jeweler whose clients include some of the dimmest bulbs in Hollywood (but whose radiance can somehow light up a screen, either silver or HDTV). A man who always looks good without trying, Hans is not at all happy to have had many of his finest pieces looted during the course of the awards ceremony -- and he's even less happy when most of his gems turn out to be paste, a "harmless" little white lie to his clients that turned into a massive insurance fraud the second the gems disappeared...GUEST STAR (24)

[OLIVER] In his 40s, the stressed-out director of the Awards Ceremony, Oliver is convinced that the on-air theft of millions of dollars worth of jewels means the end of his career, and he's initially eager to help the detectives find the bad guys. [PAULA W.] 28-38 years old, Paula runs what looks like a casting office -- but instead of filling roles for movies and TV shows, Paula fills seats at awards ceremonies. A disorganized scatterbrain in charge of hiring "seat fillers" at $65 a head, Paula is questioned by the detectives after six of her new hires appear to have a sideline in jewel theft, but her record-keeping is so slovenly that she's of little aid to the police...GUEST STAR (21)

[SVEN R.] In his early to late 40s. A once-prominent action movie star whose career has shrunk as his weight has expanded, famous for his signature ponytail, he wears an ultra cutting-edge tuxedo, with his hair awkwardly stuffed beneath a beat-up baseball cap. Sven is one of the not-so-mega-stars robbed at the awards ceremony, and he sheepishly informs the cops that his jeweled ponytail ring was lifted -- along with his fake ponytail...GUEST STAR OR CO-STAR

[RAUL H.] 30-40 years old. Hispanic, a Colombian member of a South American Theft Group, Raul is suspected of running a theft ring in Bogota, but is arrested in Los Angeles for his work as a seat filler / jewel thief...CO-STAR (35)

[RACHEL H.] Mid 20s to early 30s. A young female actress, she makes a moderately vapid acceptance speech at the awards show, only to be baffled by an unexpected smoke bomb explosion during her speech...CO-STAR (4)PLEASE SUBMIT ALL ETHNICITIES

Episode 6x14 Title: And The Winner Is...

Plotline:
And the crime is...robberies during a awards show. The thieves set off smoke to block camera views and cause panic and confusion then rob the celebs of their jewels.

Larry is back! He refers to his return as a re-entry to society. He is discovered by Charlie by the pool table. He has been squatting-bedroll and all.

Later Amita comments that based on his new look Larry didn't wind up in Italy. It appears they didn't know where Larry has been hanging his hat all this time. Charlie asks Larry where he was and states apparently the place had no phone or post office since they didn't hear one word from him.

Larry tells them he was in the Mojave desert about 150 miles away enjoying the pristine night sky. They ask Larry if he found what he went out looking for. He replies that he did. They inquire as to what it was and Larry promptly changes the subject.
